The IFSID derivative training cycle is a vocational training program that offers comprehensive and updated information on derivatives and structured products, the functioning of their markets, the strategies, risk management, the back office operations and accounting for derivatives.

The training cycle mainly targets professionals called to deal with derivatives on a regular basis: accountants, jurists, lawyers, back office staff, company treasurers, administrators, retail brokers, auditors, compliance experts, etc.

The modular structure of the training cycle (12 courses including 1 introductory course offered in French and English, 6 courses on the various categories of derivatives, and 4 courses on specialized topics) allow for a path tailored to each type of clientele. The program thus offers customized registration within the complete cycle totalizing 96 hours of training. Each module is taught by an industry expert, who, in so doing, delivers applied and operational knowledge compliant with recent market practices. Training is given in either English or French in the HEC Montreal premises except for module 5, which is offered at Montreal Exchange premises (weeknight courses).
